Hi, I'm Lena
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were busy — adjusting to new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Created HirvosorLaveniq
Most online information was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
We will stay in Germany for now, and the learning continues. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Lena
